Why Real Estate Loves YOU!
Happy Valentines Day! Love is in the air. On the Grand Strand, Spring is also in the air. We have enjoyed some gorgeous weather this week, hinting at the upcoming warm season to come. Things are heating up in real estate as well, with Spring being the most active selling and buying season of the year. It's the time to LOVE real estate, because there's plenty to love!
When Spring Fever hits around the beach, buyers come from everywhere. Buyers are eager to wrap up their purchase before it gets too close to summer. They want to be able to enjoy the entire warm season in their new home at the beach. So, if you have been considering putting your house on the market, now is the time! Buyers up North are wrapped in blankets on the couch, with their laptop open, searching for a place at the beach. Wouldn't you just LOVE for them to see your new listing pop up?
As it warms up, golfers will start flooding into town to enjoy the numerous amazing golf courses we have here in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. Families and Spring Breakers will soon follow. Once people spend a few days with their feet in the sand, they usually fall in LOVE with Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island, and start thinking about having their own slice of paradise.
Even though prices are beginning to rise slowly, it is still a buyers market. Interest rates remain low and the real estate sales are heating up. New construction is popping up all over the beach, yet resale inventory remains scarce. So, go ahead and get swept up in the romance of the season. Jump off the fence and get your house on the market if you have been thinking about it. You'll LOVE the results!
If you are a buyer considering a move to the beach or a second home near the ocean, it's also a great time to start seeking the perfect match. As I mentioned, interest rates are still low: lingering under 4% in some cases, with predictions showing interest rates likely to rise to 4.6% by the end of 2017. New construction in our area offers the BEST price to those who get in on new developments early. I can give you the lowdown on some of the happenings in our area.
